ARTIST BIO

My name is Giao Nguyen, and I am a recent graduate with a BA in Studio Arts from California State University, Los Angeles. I am painter and ceramicist, and I have been creating art in the dimness of my bedroom/studio for as long as I can remember. As an artist, I strive to establish an intimate relationship with my subject matter, and that is possibly why I paint myself a lot. My work is a reflection of my identity and experience, and having that personal connection with my creative process allows me to express my ideas and feelings unapologetically.
